Get to Know the Team

McLaren Racing has a rich history in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, winning three Indianapolis 500s in 1972, 1974 and 1976. The team returned to INDYCAR in 2017 with Fernando Alonso, racing in the Indianapolis 500 in a joint effort with Andretti Autosport.

In 2020, McLaren Racing partnered with Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, taking majority ownership in 2021 and assuming full ownership before the 2025 season. Over its INDYCAR history, McLaren Racing has totaled 318 starts, 25 wins, 75 podiums and a best finish of second in the championship. Arrow McLaren will field three cars in 2026 with Pato O’Ward, Nolan Siegel and Christian Lundgaard.

Arrow McLaren has become a consistent contender, competing at the top nearly every race weekend. O’Ward has finished fifth or better in the standings five times in the last six years, including a second-place finish in 2025. Siegel and INDYCAR race winner Lundgaard return for their second full season with the team. The team will also field four cars for the Indianapolis 500, with veteran Ryan Hunter-Reay piloting the No. 31 entry.

At the heart of Arrow McLaren is a shared ambition: to race and to win – for its people, its partners, its fans and the sport.
