Get to Know Ryan

In 2026, Ryan Hunter-Reay will race a one-off entry in the Indianapolis 500 with Arrow McLaren. After narrowly missing a second Indy 500 victory in 2025 – racing for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing with Cusick Motorsports – he will drive the No. 31 as he attempts to qualify for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

The 45-year-old Floridian is an 18-time winner in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, capturing the championship in 2012 with Andretti Global and winning the 2014 Indianapolis 500. He is the only American driver to record victories in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, CART, Champ Car, American Le Mans Series and Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. Hunter-Reay has also represented Team USA eight times at the Race of Champions, beginning in 2012 following his INDYCAR SERIES championship.

Off the track, he earned ESPY Awards for Best Driver in 2013 and 2014. Hunter-Reay enjoys deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, free diving and spearfishing. His wife Beccy comes from a racing family – her brother, Robby Gordon, won multiple races in the INDYCAR SERIES, NASCAR Cup Series and rally racing – and their three sons have all started in go-karting.
