Christian Lundgaard, the 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES Rookie of the Year, begins his second season with Arrow McLaren in 2026. He finished a career-best fifth in the points in 2025 with six podiums. Although winless last year, Lundgaard established himself as a consistent top finisher and will aim for more in his sophomore season driving the No. 7 Chevrolet. This will be his sixth INDYCAR season.
Before joining Arrow McLaren, Lundgaard raced for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, earning his first INDYCAR win at Toronto in 2023. He also competed in FIA Formula 2, claiming two wins and six podiums in 2020, and won SMP and Spanish F4 championships as well as an FIA Formula 3 race.
Born in Denmark, Lundgaard is the son of European Rally champion Henrik Lundgaard. He and his older brother Daniel began in motorsports through karting, with Christian winning Danish and European karting titles. Off the track, Lundgaard enjoys golf, watching Netflix shows (especially NCIS) and playing Call of Duty on his PlayStation.
