Get to Know Marcus

Marcus Armstrong returns to Meyer Shank Racing for his second season in 2026, driving the No. 66 Honda. The 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES Rookie of the Year spent two seasons with Chip Ganassi Racing before the team expanded to three cars and moved Armstrong to MSR under a technical partnership. In 2025, Armstrong recorded a career-best championship finish of eighth overall and tied his best race result with a third-place finish at Iowa.

A native of New Zealand, Armstrong won five karting championships before racing in FIA F3, where he earned four wins, four poles and 16 podiums over two seasons. He also won the 2017 Italian F4 championship and finished second in ADAC F4 the same year. Prior to switching to INDYCAR, he competed in FIA F2 for three seasons, earning four wins.

Off the track, Armstrong enjoys all things sports and competition, particularly tennis matches with his younger brother and watching the NFL. He is training to break the world record in planking, though that may be a work in progress. He is an avid sneakerhead with an extensive collection and prefers listening to podcasts over music.
