In 2025, Christian Rasmussen completed his first full season in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, driving for Ed Carpenter Racing. In 2024, he competed in 14 races as a rookie after winning the 2023 INDY NXT by Firestone championship. His 2025 season was largely successful, finishing on the podium twice and winning his first career INDYCAR SERIES race at the Milwaukee Mile. He finished 13th in the standings and will continue to drive the No. 21 Chevrolet in 2026.
He is the second driver in history to earn a championship in each division that feeds into the NTT INDYCAR SERIES – USF2000 in 2020, USF Pro 2000 in 2021 and INDY NXT in 2023. The 25-year-old from Copenhagen, Denmark, has shown flashes of brilliance, particularly on ovals where high-risk decisions yield high reward.
Off the track, he enjoys playing pickleball with other members of the paddock, loves old cars and is a self-described “big car guy.” He is close friends with fellow Danish driver Christian Lundgaard, is fiercely competitive and is learning to play golf.
