Here are the three INDYCAR gift categories and some of the many must-have items in each group.
THE COLLECTOR:
This category is for the race fan going on 45 straight years of attending the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge, and much like their racing hero, A.J. Foyt, they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Having been a lifelong fan, they appreciate the history that has built the NTT INDYCAR SERIES into what it is today, and they must have these items.
A.J. Foyt autographed green chair
Two of the most iconic pieces of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway come together for this rare item – the famed “green chairs” that were used in the grandstands of the Racing Capital of the World for decades, signed by the legendary A.J. Foyt.
These particular green chairs lined B Stand and B Penthouse at the entry to Turn 1 of IMS from the 1950s through 2015 and were signed by the four-time Indy 500 winner upon their removal. But you better act fast! There are only 60 of these signed chairs remaining.
IMS Historical Indy 500 Glassware – 1969 Mario Andretti Set
If you want a piece of IMS history commissioned by Tony Hulman, this is the gift for you or the avid collector on your list.
In 1950, IMS President Hulman commissioned a set of glassware that would feature every Indy 500 winner to date, and the Hulman-George Family continued this tradition for more than 60 years. This particular set was commissioned in 1969 to celebrate Mario Andretti’s lone Indy 500 win. This set includes six glasses all rimmed in 24k gold, and there are only 100 sets remaining.
2021 Indy 500 Helio Castroneves winner 1:18 diecast w/figure
While most of the items under the memorabilia/classics collector group celebrate moments that happened decades ago, this items honors a moment in history that we all witnessed: Helio Castroneves winning his historic fourth Indianapolis 500 this past May.
This piece of modern history commemorates the 105th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge with a diecast of the black-and-pink car he drove to victory, as well as a figure of Castroneves to honor his iconic fence climbing celebration.
