A special day
Graham Rahal spent some time with Chase Walters, a young racing fan who has cancer. “Best part of today was getting to take Chase karting for his first time, and put cancer in the background as we shared laughs and laps together,” the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver posted on Twitter.
Today was a very special day for me. I got to hang w/ one of my heroes, Chase Walters, who is battling leukemia for the second time. Best part of today was getting to take Chase karting for his first time, and put cancer in the background as we shared laughs and laps together! pic.twitter.com/hzbUDB9rrU

We loved having Chase’s name on the @CSUOneCure @Honda @IndyCar at the @Portland_GP. And also on G’s helmet. #onecanceronecure pic.twitter.com/r7S7VHdv1U

Unanimous Fan Favorite?
Marco Andretti chose not to vote for himself in the 2018 INDYCAR Fan Favorite Driver poll. Instead, he’s pulling for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year, Robert Wickens. And he’s not the only one. If you haven’t already, you can vote here, once on each device.
I’m voting for @robertwickens

Let’s just give this to @robertwickens right now... #GetWellWickens #IndyCar https://t.co/2vpDiQJb4A

Oh no, Helio
In response to a video that showed him climbing a fence (of course) and celebrating a 2008 INDYCAR win at Sonoma Raceway with fans, Helio Castroneves recalled one subtle detail about the day. Awkward.
I remember that day.....someone squeezed my butt!!😂 https://t.co/o5w3aN3UX7

Back in 2008, @h3lio took the checkered flag at @racesonoma. Then, he found some Brazilian fans in the crowd 👀🇧🇷#INDYCAR // #SonomaGP pic.twitter.com/CK3AuonqhG

You’ve got a friend … actually, many
AJ Foyt Racing driver Tony Kanaan has his 2007 7-Eleven firesuit is up for auction, with proceeds going to his long-time assistant and friend of the paddock, Kika Garcia-Conchesa. She is fighting Stage 3 cancer.
🇺🇸 Guys, please check @HOFCollection’s post below. It’s an auction for a set of my 2007 winning suit, boots and gloves from Milwaukee race. All proceeds are going to @kikacart’s battle against cancer. Let’s get the bids going and help Kika 👇🏻 https://t.co/tL5d5tuBnK

Spotted
A fan thought they saw Andretti Autosport rookie Zach Veach on the north side of Indianapolis and … they were totally right. But could they have ever guessed what Veach was out doing? Probably not.
Haha that was me! Absolutely love my @Honda #TypeR. Had to go get some fish food for my reef tank. #ExcitingSaturday https://t.co/4Bkwbpr9rC
