INDYCAR Fast Six: What's trending in @INDYCAR
JUL 04, 2018
What in the world were IndyCar drivers up to on social media (and in real life) this past “off” week with without a Verizon IndyCar Series race? The better question may be WHERE in the world was everyone? Outdoors mostly!
Team Penske drivers Will Power and Simon Pagenaud traded in their usual INDYCAR rides for two- and four-wheel fun in North Carolina:
After standing on the podium at Detroit, Texas and Road America, Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon stepped away from the track and onto a mountainside to spend quality family time in Wyoming.
Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter-Reay and his family took to Florida’s coastal waters for their summer fun.
Temperatures soared in the northeastern United States and Canada this past week, but that didn’t stop transplanted Canadians James Hinchcliffe and Rebecca Dalton from celebrating Canada Day in Indianapolis on July 1 in true “Great White North” style, eh?
It may feel like 40C/104F in Indy today, but we’re still rocking mittens and toques because it’s Canada Day, damn it!! Happy 🇨🇦 Day!!! pic.twitter.com/4pio28Cf0p

Meanwhile, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal was getting outfit ready for America’s national celebration of Independence Day today after surprising wife Courtney Force for her 3oth birthday with a trip to Lake Tahoe.
I’m still in shock!! Thank you @GrahamRahal and all my friends for the best surprise everrrr! Celebrating in Lake Tahoe for my 30th birthday! How did I get so lucky with this guy 💛 #ThisIs30 #LakeTahoe pic.twitter.com/ihFAr2ueoZ

There were, however, a handful of drivers who found themselves indoors watching soccer’s World Cup and doing a little trash-talking with their INDYCAR friends.
