DragonSpeed, an American racing team with a resume of endurance sports car success in Europe, made its NTT INDYCAR SERIES debut in 2019 with three starts in St. Petersburg, Barber, and the 103rd Running of the Indianapolis 500 with rookie driver Ben Hanley.
Founded by sportscar driver Elton Julian in 2007, DragonSpeed has raced in every major domestic and international sports car championship, including the World Endurance Championship, WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and European Le Mans Series.
The team won 2015 GTA championship in the Pirelli World Challenge, the 2017 European Le Mans Series LMP2 championship and the won the P2 Class at the 2019 Rolex 24 At Daytona.
In 2022, Cusick Motorsports announced their return to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES grid for the 106th Running of the Indianapolis 500 in partnership with DragonSpeed. The partnership combines two entities that have independently made strides in the Indianapolis 500 in recent years, creating synergy between Cusick Motorsports’ business-to-business acumen and DragonSpeed’s multi-disciplinary racing prowess. Stefan Wilson will be at the wheel of the No. 25 DragonSpeed/Cusick Motorsports Chevrolet entry.
