Zachary Claman began his campaign to reach the highest tiers of motorsports when he was discovered by a group of professional drivers at the local go-karting track when he was 8 years old. Aged 14, Zach became among the youngest ever Canadian National Karting Champions.
In the three years to follow, Zach claimed 2 more Canadian National Championships, won two of four races in the Skip Barber Winter Series and posted an undefeated record in Formula 3 MSV. Today, Zach competes with Carlin Motorsports in the Verizon Indycar Series' official driver development program, called Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires. Zach won his first Indy Lights race in 2017, dominating the second race of the weekend at world-renowned Road America. Immediately following the completion of his second year in Indy Lights in 2017, Zach made his Verizon IndyCar Series debut in the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma, the season-ending race, for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
