Legacy Autosport

Legacy Autosport is a team ran by the Meyer family, whose grandfather and great grandfather was Louis Meyer, a three-time champion of the Indianapolis 500. In 2018 The legacy has continued with the younger Meyer’s who continue the winning ways of the family. The team is entirely focused on driver development with a strong emphasis on not becoming a super team where efforts are spread among too many cars and drivers. Their belief is that drivers coming into the Mazda Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires need the focus and attention in driver development and learning how to win in the series. This is Legacy Autosport goal.

Legacy Autosport is based in Lebanon, Indiana. Located just outside of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, they are in the heart of the Motor Racing Capital of the World. The team has a season of experience in the Mazda Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires, winning two USF2000 races with Alex Baron including Indianapolis. Louis “Mike” Meyer Owner, Team Manager and Crew Chief has spent the last 13 years in Indy Light winning 5 Championships, countless race wins, pole positions and and 4 freedom 100 races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Louis “Butch” Meyer brings a story book career in automobile racing which includes building IndyCar motors with several manufactures and teams, 5 years as technical director of the Indy Lights program and ownership of an Indy Light team.
