A unique warmup routine
Harding Steinbrenner Racing driver Colton Herta stole the show on Saturday, winning NTT P1 Award in qualifying for the REV Group Grand Prix presented by AMR. Herta became the youngest pole winner in Indy car history.
What we didn’t know was that he won another honor earlier in the day, with team co-owner George Steinbrenner IV joining him for some Road America fun before they pulled off their historic feat on the track.
INDYCAR’s newest pup
Not to be outshone by his human dad’s dominating win at Road America, Brunner, the mini-Goldendoodle pup of Andretti Autosport driver Alexander Rossi, welcomed a new baby sister to the family. We demand more photos and a family appearance at a race soon, Alexander!
Sunset over Iowa
With the 0.894-mile oval looming on July 20, three NTT IndyCar Series teams took to Iowa Speedway on Tuesday in advance of the Iowa 300. Rookie Felix Rosenqvist of Chip Ganassi Racing will compete at the track for the first time later this month and captured this gorgeous sunset before heading back on track for night practice.
Another blood drive success at Road America
On the heels of World Blood Donor Day, Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver James Hinchcliffe continued his quest to engage race fans in blood donation with a blood drive at Road America. The drive is the fourth of the 2019 season, with five more scheduled at remaining NTT IndyCar Series events (Iowa, Mid-Ohio, Gateway, Portland and Laguna Seca).
