Robert Shwartzman took on a new challenge in 2025, racing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES with PREMA Racing in its inaugural season. Alongside teammate Callum Ilott, the 26-year-old from Tel Aviv, Israel competed in every race of 2025 as an uncharted entry, filling out the 27-car grid. He claimed pole position and Rookie of the Year honors at the 109th Indianapolis 500 and finished 24th in the standings.

Shwartzman was the 2019 FIA F3 champion, won six races in FIA F2 with 14 podium finishes over two seasons and made his Formula 1 testing debut in 2020 with Scuderia Ferrari, continuing with Ferrari and Haas F1 Team in 2021. He joined Ferrari’s F1 reserve driver pool in 2023 and competed in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, securing a win. In 2024, he was confirmed as an F1 reserve driver and made his prototype racing debut in a Ferrari 499P in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Off the track, Shwartzman races under the Israeli flag but grew up in Italy after living in St. Petersburg, Russia. A massive Star Wars fan, he collects lightsabers and gained viral fame in 2025 when aura farming on his No. 83 car on the way to pit lane. He has also released rap songs titled “Active” and “Pole Position” under the moniker Shwartzy.
