Dallara simulator

Dallara will continue its longstanding support of INDY NXT by Firestone by providing sessions in its state-of-the-art simulator this season to outstanding drivers in INDYCAR’s development series.

As many as three drivers will benefit from the award program from the exclusive chassis manufacturer for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and INDY NXT by Firestone.

The driver who scores the most points from the season opener March 10 in St. Petersburg, Florida, through Round 6 on June 9 at Road America will earn a half-day in the simulator at Dallara headquarters in Indianapolis. The driver who scores the most points from the doubleheader June 22-23 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca through the season finale Sept. 15 at Nashville Superspeedway also will get a half-day in the simulator.

The grand prize will be a full day in the simulator for the 2024 INDY NXT by Firestone season champion.

Dallara and INDYCAR have developed a social media program to promote the INDY NXT by Firestone contingency award program and the Italian manufacturer’s partnership with the series.

Drivers become eligible for the Dallara contingency awards package by mentioning Dallara’s involvement in the sport a number of times per season on their social media channels, including Dallara social tags.

Dallara has three simulators, with one of them at its INDYCAR factory in Speedway, Indiana, less than 1 mile from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Dallara Driving Simulator is the most precise simulator dedicated to race drivers and engineers. The tool helps drivers learn the ins and outs of new tracks and cars with similar, if not better, results than real-world testing.

Using such a precise simulator gives drivers and engineers precious data without the cost, complexity and unpredictability of actual track testing. Since it operates in a controlled environment, the simulator can imitate an infinite number of real-life scenarios and situations, thanks to complete control over all its parameters. The simulator’s tire thermal model helps to prepare qualifying and race setups based on tire degradation, track characteristics and weather conditions.

Dallara has served as the exclusive chassis manufacturer for INDY NXT by Firestone since 2002. The company has provided strong support for INDYCAR’s development series with a robust contingency awards package each season.

The 2024 INDY NXT by Firestone season starts March 8-10 at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg, Florida. The race starts at 10 a.m. ET Sunday, March 10, with live coverage on Peacock and the INDYCAR Radio Network.
