INDYCAR's #FastSix is a report that borrows from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. This week, we turn over the Fast Six reigns to the INDYCAR webmaster, as we take a final look back at the month of May and things we might have missed.

Birthday wishes

While he's currently not a full-time driver in the Verizon IndyCar Series, we would be very remiss to not pass along belated birthday wishes to our three-time Indianapolis 500 champion, Helio Castroneves. He celebrated on May 10, and fellow Brazilian Tony Kanaan dipped into his own archives to wish his countryman happy birthday. To be honest, Helio still hasn't aged much.

In order to drink the milk ...

Every year since 1975, the American Dairy Association Indiana hosts the Fastest Rookie of the Year Award lunch at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In addition to the awards, the rookie drivers got to go straight to the source and try their hand at milking a cow. Zachary Claman De Melo, take it away:

A helmet worth exchanging

One of the great moments of the month was watching Sebastian Wheldon, son of the late Dan Wheldon, race a go-kart thorugh Gasoline Alley, down the front stretch to the IMS yard of bricks and give the bricks a kiss. Sebastian also exchanged helmets with his friend, Marco Andretti. No doubt, that helmet is going to have a prime spot in Marco's helmet collection.

Parade of champions

The annual IPL 500 Festival Parade is one of the nation's largest, most respected parades, as hundreds of thousands line the streets of downtown Indianapolis to catch a glimpse of drivers, floats, balloons, bands and everything in between. Robert Wickens seemed to enjoy his first parade and had one of the better vantage points.

Barbecue season is here

Memorial Day weekend in the United States has long since been thought of as the official kickoff to the summer season. A time for family gatherings, picnics, swimming pools and the smells of barbecues. Zach Veach got his summer season off to a hot start in the Indianapolis 500, but we're sure a char-broiled Dallara chassis wasn't necessarily on the menu.

A final farewell

One of the great storylines entering 2018 was Danica Patrick returning to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for her final race of her career. While the storybook ending may not have happened, she undeniably left her mark on motorsports. Danica, on behalf of fans worldwide, thank you for everything. Don't be a stranger. The INDYCAR paddock will always welcome you home.
