At the age of 8, Parker Thompson got behind the wheel of his first kart and he hasn't stopped getting behind the wheel since. Starting at a later date than most of his competition, Parker has nonetheless moved up through the karting ranks swiftly. He's gone from being a weekend warrior rolling a kart and tool box in the back of a family half-ton, to a podium fixture in many of North America's top karting championships.

Parker Thompson was born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, where the karting season lasts only six months. That meant he'd have to travel in order to develop his craft, so it was down South he went when he accepted an invitation to race under the Tony Kart West banner based out of California. Success came quickly, and Thompson soon became very well known in North American karting. Countless podiums, many wins, and 3 IKF Championships followed, along with a famed Duffy. Moving up to Junior Rotax early in order to gain the most experience possible and develop as a driver, Thompson then stunned the industry by taking the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas Junior Rotax title and earning a spot on Team Canada for the Rotax Grand Finals in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Parker went on to claim the Western Canadian Karting Championship in Junior Rotax that same season, and has since defended his Western crown, meaning he will once again join Team Canada at the Rotax Grand Finals this year, to be held in Portimao, Portugal, his second-consecutive trip to the World Rotax Finals.

As a driver, Parker Thompson has been developed by some of the world's most prominent names in auto racing, such as Buddy Rice, former Indy 500 winner, and Mike Speed, renowned tuner and father of former American Formula One driver and current NASCAR driver Scott Speed. Thompson has also been developed by Chris Freckleton, a retired karting phenomenon who has been with Thompson through his teen stages, and Joey Guyon, who started out with Thompson by supporting him.

With racing taking him across the Atlantic, and currently competing in Europe with Italy's Energy Corse racing team, Parker's success continues to build with the help of his partners: Energy Corse, Panigada European Transport, GFR Racing Engines, Bell Racing Helmets, CanadianKartingNews.com, Tillett Racing Seats, and Sylvan Lake RV.

Hobbies: Racing, Golf, Badminton, Campaigning against distracted driving, working out

Snapshot: If I were to describe my personality I would think humor would be at the top, along with fun to be around and kind. I love to have a good time and make people laugh. At the race track I’m extremely focused and determined to do what I need to do to win races. I am also very analytical. Some of my hobbies are golf and badminton. Two sports that are really like racing in a way due to how mentally challenging they are. I love that they replicate racings mentally challenging side, yet are so different from racing at the same time. In the winter I play badminton just about every second day and that is the same with golf in the summer.

Racing goal: Get paid to drive fast cars around race tracks.

Racing hero: Barry Sheene

My fitness routine includes: 6-7 days a week in the gym complied with a full load of cardio and muscle training circuits to develop durability over long races as well as the strength needed  to get the most out of the car. Muscle training focuses on my core: balance, chest and triceps, shoulders and traps, back and biceps, legs and neck.

Any pre-race rituals or superstitions: Brain integration exercises.

The one talent I wish I had: One talent I wish I had is the ability to remember everything I saw or read. This would definitely be helpful when late night studying for exams after races.

An interesting note about me: I have never been off honor role with distinction.

Personal vehicle: 2007 Nissan Maxima

Exclusive Autosport

Exclusive Autosport was founded in 2013 by Canadian entrepreneur Michael Duncalfe (President and CEO of Exclusive Management Inc.). The team is owned by Exclusive Management Inc.

When the opportunity presented itself for EM Inc. to work with Borland Racing Developments in 2013, EM Inc. felt it was the right time and a natural fit to move into the F1600 race circuit. In 2014 EM Inc. took over as importers and distributors in the North American market place. They officially launched the Spectrum 014z F2000 in early 2014. Under Duncalfe’s guidance, Exclusive Autosport has rapidly earned a reputation for excellence winning multiple open-wheel championships.

2013 was a breakthrough year for the young Exclusive Autosport team. The team won the 2013 Toyo Tires F1600 A-Class Championship, The Formula Tour F1600 Pro-Class Championship, the Formula Tour F1600 Rookie-of-the-Year Championship and the Formula Tour F1600 Masters Championship. On route to their championship titles, EA collectively captured 13 A-Class / Pro-Class Wins, 38 A-Class / Pro-Class podium finishes, 14 A-Class / Pro-Class Pole Positions, 4 A-Class / Pro-Class Track Records, 2 Masters Wins and 3 Masters Podiums.

Exclusive Autosport returned to Canadian Formula 1600 racing in 2014 in the Ontario based Toyo Tires F1600 Championship, the Quebec based Formula Tour F1600 Championship and the Formula 1600 Super Series. The team also traveled south to the United States to attend the F1600 Formula F Series as well as the F2000 Championship Series. 2014 proved to be another championship winning year for the team as they collected the Formula Tour 1600 Pro Class and Masters Championships, the Toyo Tires F1600 A-Class and Rookie Championships and the inaugural F2000 Canada Championship. As a team, the six drivers collected 19 A-Class / Pro Class wins, 34 A-Class / Pro Class podiums, 13 A-Class / Pro Class pole positions, 1 track record, 3 masters wins and 8 masters podium finishes.

Exclusive Management Inc. (EM Inc.) has already established themselves in the motorsports industry and is well known for their driver management and driver development.
