They didn’t compete on the NBC network episode of “American Ninja Warrior” that three of their fellow Verizon IndyCar Series drivers did, but Conor Daly and Sage Karam still crashed the party and tested out some of the obstacle course that was set up in Indianapolis.

Follow their adventure on the NBC.com web series “Crashing the Course,” hosted by Alex Weber (@ImAlexWeber). The webisode involving Daly and Karam comes in advance of tonight’s “American Ninja Warrior” episode showing the results of the regional finals competition from Indianapolis (8 p.m. ET, NBC).

Drivers Helio Castroneves, Tony Kanaan and Josef Newgarden all competed in the preliminary round taped in April on Indy’s Monument Circle, featuring the first circular course in “American Ninja Warrior” history. While none of the three was able to advance past the prelims, all displayed their true competitive zeal for an appreciative crowd of fans and followers.

Daly, driver of the No. 18 Jonathan Byrd’s Hospitality Honda for Dale Coyne Racing in the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series, and Karam, who drove the No. 24 Gas Monkey Energy Chevrolet for DRR-Kingdom Racing at the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in May, sampled some of the course at the invitation of Weber.
